Stories and Rhymes

Parents have asked us to make a list of songs and stories which the children enjoy at school. Youtube links are also listed.  We hope you find this list useful. We will be adding to it throughout the year so please check back for updates.

We're Going on a Bear Hunt by Michael Rosen: This is a really popular story in our school especially with the younger children.

Wind the Bobbin Up: Our pupils love this little song. It is very simple but as with all action rhymes it is fabulous for establishing joint attention, imitation and shared enjoyment.

If You're Happy and You Know it: This song is great for acting out emotions.

Five Little Ducks: This is a lovely song which we use for counting. The children love using little plastic ducks while singing this one.

The Wheels on the Bus: An oldie but the children love it!
